Hail Damage

Postby DaveMk1 » Fri Aug 15, 2008 11:15 am

So I was out running errands last night and I stopped by that sheister Dick Walter's and was looking at the new diesel Jetta and I noticed that it had a dent in the roof. Then I looked more closely and noticed that it had lots of dents. Then I looked more closely at the rest of the cars on the lot and realized that a good 90% of them look like they were parked for a few years at a golf driving range just 50 yards from the Tee.

One thing stuck out to me....... the VW's had dents but the Subarus had deep sharp dents. Looks like the sheet metal on the Subbies might be a bit thin compared the the VW's.

It looked as if the vast majority of the cars are badly affected. How do they deal with this? I assume there is insurance for it but that doesn't give any of the sales folks anything to sell to the moment. I wonder what a dealer does in this case.

I'll bet if you want a deal on a new STi with some dents (think of them as vortex generators) they can hook you up.

If it helps I could come by the house and throw golf balls at your car for a few hours. Let me know.

I could see you in that STi. It's the cool blue color that all STi's should be .

You are right, If your in the markert for a new car, and don't mind some dents, now may be the time to buy. Many will see the paintless dent man it just depends on the amount and location of damage. I know Our(Ressler) Body shop is very busy right now with hail damage repair.
