Well, we managed to agitate a few people with the noise but it didn't seem to bother the Churches across the street. There will be some smak talk at the Opp house tonight with Cody finally besting his dad. Thanks to all who showed up and a really big thanks to those who worked. My apologies to any one's name I miss spelled.

Oh, forgot to say, someone left some quarts of Valvoline 10w30 oil, Armor All, a duster, a black Panthers sweat shirt and a few other items in a pile at the location. Please let me know if it's yours otherwise I'll bring it to the Ice Gardens events and hopefully claimed there.

Thanks again everyone for a great event. The course was really good, and although things got a little hectic with all the passers by and folks wanting to sign-up to run in the afternoon is was a fun day. :D

"Way to go" to Cody, he was looking smooth out there. I wonder if he got his fast time with the "kid in the corduroys" riding along, I think that guy was good luck or something, I got my best time with him in the passenger seat, and I know he went for a ride with Russ too.

As far as people complaining about the noise, I think that was inevitable. We definitely had some louder cars (karts) than we had anticipated, but if a person is just not into cars its going to be too loud no matter what. We need to find out what the city's noise ordinance is, and make sure we are not exceeding that.

I have a feeling that may have been our first and last event there. After having a discusion with one of the residents on the phone about it there maybe be some complaining to the High School. I think there was a lot higher tension level at this event with the officials too. I thought Joe was going to explode :) Nick always seemed like he was on edge too. Spectaters were definitly way too close.

Personally, Id rather not run there and not create any big problems for us. If we can utilize Helena and MSU events more to cover for the loss next year I will be much happier.

There were some cars and carts running there that should not have been there. However, I can only blame myself for not inforcing the noise level and actively addressing sound level testing. I think the next low noise event will require a pre-noise level test meeting on cars some time before the event to determine what is acceptable. However, I think most resdidents had more issues with all the squeeling tires than the car noise. So I guess we all need to buy some R-Compund tires!

Just been my thoughts from thinking about it.

Russ you might be right. I guess we should weigh the benefits of having the highschool lot vs. upsetting people and possibly making a bad name for the club.
