Need help hauling cones etc to Anaconda

Postby mdlfCRXs » Wed Jul 25, 2018 4:40 pm

Anyone going to Anaconda, we need help in hauling our event supplies. If you can haul anything, even small items, post here so we can coordinate.

Thank you.

thanks for the All Call....I will take the usual traveling timing stuff---Alex, are you coming or do I need to pick up the computer gear?...I can also fit maybe 25% of the cones we will need, but we do need someone to pack the rest over....I am very excited to see the new venue and compete for FTD---I am old and an example of hope springing eternal.... :D

I may suck it up and drive over on the B-stones so I will have room for a little bit

Loren has offered to haul cones etc but needs to coordinate with someone at the van. He was hoping to get the equipment earlier in the week rather than last minute. Although we should wait and see how registration goes before committing to some gear shuttling. Can anyone work with Loren to get to the van some time this week?

Yep - I'll reach out and we'll get it done.

Are we on hold waiting for numbers to come up or are we pushing ahead regardless?

Got email from Loren and he will haul cones. Big thanks to him. I say we go ahead full speed. We always get a lot of on site registration anyway.

Btw—did we notice on the other club sites, this event? There is no other autoX in the state this weekend.

Mudge announced to all the other clubs last week. I am asking people to sign up if they think they might go but.... we wont have many. Its a fair bit of work for 6 or 8 of us to race. I really want to go through with the event to establish use of the site and demostrate that we arent hurting anything.

I saw that the good people from Missoula have it listed on their website and schedule which is super cool.

I too would like it to happen...I also know we need a minimum number of people to make the event work well and be safe. I don't know what that number is but I'm guessing it's more than the 5 that are currently registered.

I wish we had a real way of getting a head count even if people want to register onsite....but I have no idea how to do that.

I touched base with Rob from Missoula this morning and asked if he knew if any of his drivers were talking about coming and he said he hadn't heard one way or the other.
