Party!

Postby kjohnson » Tue Jan 12, 2016 8:20 am

I wanted to make a new post with all the pertinent info that's easy to see.

We're having our annual party and it's at Alex's house. We'll provide pizza, but it's BYOBaC (bring your own beer and chair). I guess if you don't want pizza bring yourself something to eat at well?

Friday 1/22/16, 6:00-9:00, 173 Lake Dr, Bozeman. Some parking in front of the garage, lots of parking in front of the shop.

Can somebody get this info up on facebook too?

Got mine too, and hung it on the fridge where it belongs.

Mostly, I just wanted postcards so I would have a sweet picture of Joe's car to hang on the fridge:)

Do we have a plan for who's going to pick up pizzas and how many we're getting?

I talked to Joe about since I wasn't sure when I would be able to make it over to the party. I believe he was going to get them. We hadn't discussed how much pizza to get yet though.

Hard to say, since we don't know how many people we are feeding. However, Victoria has offered to run to Costco for more should we run low. We are quite close.

Is 20 people a reasonable guess for starters? 3-4 people per pizza? So maybe start with 5 or 6 and go from there?

I think in years past we've had 20 - 25 folks at the party so your math makes sense to me.

Russ, last year I think we doubled up our effort on printing ballots for the awards. Were you going to print those out again? I'm not even sure if we have nominies for each category.

i haven't done ballots yet since I wasn't really sure who we had. I'm probably not going to make it too the party before 7:00 anyway so you will probably be done voting by then

I'm up in the air about being stuck at work at this point. There's a reasonable chance I'll be late too, it's even possible I won't be there at all. It's pretty unusual for me to have to work late, but deadlines are deadlines. If I'm going to make it I'll try to print out some ballots before I head out.

The party was good. Sat around the house for a bit, ate some pizza and drank some beer, then we all went out to the shop and drank some more beer. Wish you could have been there:)

They seem to be rather tight lipped about the whole affair. Suspicious?

Here is what I recall -

Driver O' the Year - Alex
Most improved - ?
Rookie - Milan
Pax points - Mr. Mudge
FTD points - Dave K
Pork Chop - write in for Team Katzenburger

Who got most improved?

Did I get the others correct?

McT got most improved.

It should be noted that I forgot to actually calculate the PAX / FTD points this year, so those were based on who we, as a group, "felt" were the fastest in those two areas. But I'm pretty sure we got it right:)

I ram the numbers the next day and indeed I took FTD and that was simple but the PAX race was much closer with McT raking a close second to the Paxmaster General Big Daddy Mudgel

I'm getting excited for next year and meant to ask what process there was to report on the wireless timing lights project. Alex.....do you have any news to share?

I really like the "Big Daddy" moniker for Mudge
