Billings Skyview high school solo?

Postby DaveMk1 » Fri Jun 28, 2013 7:47 am

I see there is an event out in Billings this weekend and I wonder if anyone here has run on that lot and knows anything about it?

I've done more than a few there. Best advice is soften the suspension a bit or even a bit more because it is bumpy! I remember spinning my old black STI there.

Bumpy or potholes?

I drove through the lot on a visit last summer and it is bumpy, no potholes but lots of different segments of asphalt that arent blended together very well. I dont think there were gaps or sharp edges like at Butte, but just wavy, rolling asphalt. It has alot of aggregate in it too so, not a smooth surface. If it is this weekend it should be nice and hot too.

Thanks - I'll ponder it.

It's either solo or a long bike ride in the heat..........

And a speedbump at one of the entrance/exit points that you might not make it over. My car scraped going over it so I don't know if you will make it. It is avoidable. They were using that as the exit to the pit area when I ran there 2 years ago and I instead had to return to the grid area the long way.
