Can I share SS duties with you Russ? I need some practice at SS before the long cold racing-less winter sets in.

I also suggest we promote this event as a meet-and-greet with the state autocross champions. It could be a big draw.

Oh come on James.... there is lots of racing still to be had in the next several months. Lets go out to ORP, Spokane County Raceway, or Pacific Raceways this fall. I'm game. My son is moving out to Seattle in a month or so, he might even allow a couple of borders for a few days.

Russ, I'm planning on going to Helena also .... so use me as needed.

Thanks Ron:
Living in Butte I sometimes forget that all life does not stop between Halloween and Memorial Day. There is light, sunshine, and in some cases actual warmth in the air during that period. Everything is not always darkness and ice. I may take you up on some of those ideas.

I will be there Russ and can help with anything you need. As of right now, I only know timing. I am willing to learn anything else.

Dave, are you setting the course? Are plans to set up early Saturday or Friday night? I can be there early Saturday if plans are to set up then. I will have my truck to move the trailer if it is saturday morning.

I don't know to be honest - it gets light so late now and it takes a few hours to set the cones so it might be best to set them the night before. That said someone with a truck will need to be there to move the trailer full of cones over.

What do you think?

I can't make it Friday night, I am working out of town that day. Maybe someone else with a truck can make it up Friday night.

Cool - we'll need to know for sure at some point if you and your truck will be there friday or not and if not be sure we can move the trailer by other means.

Weather dot com shows it being 63° with 20% chance of wet stuff.............. A lot can change in the next 9 days but the current forecast puts us far above the 50/50 rule.

I can bring my truck down to move the trailer (need to know ball size  ) Friday afternoon/evening if need be.
Which means...I can help with set up as well.

Dang that "S" word in the forecast. :(
Will have to keep an eye on that.
We're still water skiing for crying out loud!

And regarding:
DaveMk1 wrote:* Mel - as soon as you find out how much pad space we have to use in Helena in two weeks please let me know and I'll get busy and drawing.
Dave

You/we might want to let people know, especially those coming from far away;
Is the current plan to use all, some, or none of the road course?
I realize things can change quickly, but I've had a few people ask me that very question and I don't have any answer to give em.

There should be plenty of cones in the trailer, we just donated a bunch. Unless Dave has some crazy course design I wouldn't think you'll need them. I think if you grab a couple of the older brooms from the van we can leave them up there too. The less stuff to pack around the better.

Yes, I have computer, radios, and event box. All will be coming in my green car (assuming I finish getting my manifold reinforced and it all put back together, these 10+ hour days at work are killing me).

Good idea on a box for the display, that thing really does need it.
