Meeting!

Postby kjohnson » Thu Dec 22, 2011 8:05 am

We're going to do a meeting before the year end party. I've scheduled the meeting room at Fire Station 3 for Jan 6th at 7:00. You can bring in your own food if you like. On the agenda is discussion of club officers, awards, and a safety steward meeting.

Sounds good.

Should we start an agenda? What do we need to do/discuss?

Agenda...review the year--budget, balance sheet, acquistions, and talk about what we want to repeat or do differently next year...since that meeting is ahead of the annual party it would be a good time to review criteria for the various award categoryies, and accept official nominations...

Sounds good, I'll be there.

If anyone wants, I can pick up a pizza or two (depending on how many people are interested) at Costco on the way over. They are 10 bucks each for an 18".

That sounds like a good idea - I like to eat food.

You don't need to do a school to be a safety steward, just read the appropriate sections in the rulebooks and take a test. I think that is part of what Joe wants to talk about at the meeting.

Alex, I'll chip in for some pizza. Anyone have requests for beverages? I'm thinking beer (as great as it goes with pizza) may not send the right message at a SCCA meeting :)

So by my count there have been 7 people in this thread that are planning on going, is anyone else going to be there? Is everyone interested in pizza? Should I plan on getting one or two, and what type does everyone like?

I'm in for pizza and the pepperoni is not only my favorite but it is the best!

any meat, except very small fish, mushrooms, onions, green pepers...my view is pizza is like autocross---even when its bad it is good...as to the SSS meeting -- if you attend one, and SS 5 events in 3 years, then you can renew your license for three years instead of every year...and I think you also need a class to get it the first time also...Joe will tell it all, but this comment is for those who might like to get the license but miss the meeting because they think it is not required...

Will someone give me the cliff-notes version of this meeting? I have to work so will not be able to attend. Have fun!

Cold hit me pretty hard and I ended up passing out for a nap yesterday that lasted WAY longer than intended. Alex, I'm happy to still chip in for the pizza if you'd like. Sorry I missed it. What was on the discussion?

I was hoping to be there as I wanted to find out about sponsoring the local series this season. Anyone care to chime in on what may be needed by the club?

Unfortunately I'll be out of town for the meeting in early feb. I leave this coming saturday and won't be back in Bozeman until Feb 20th. Would someone be willing to bring a laptop and allow me to Skype into the meeting?

It's too bad you can't make it, but it's really not that kind of meeting. It's our annual year end party, we're going to hand out awards and eat pizza.

The meeting date has been changed to the 9th due to availability of the space. I edited Joe's post to reflect that.
