Commons 8/6/11 course

Postby DaveMk1 » Wed Aug 03, 2011 9:17 am

Here is the course we plan on running for this coming weekend - all the usual caveats apply - those being that the course can change from the design pictured when the cones get dropped or if there are safety issues that become obvious only when the cones are in place. That said - we hope it will look much like this -

As you can see there is a 'bypass' similar to what we have been running at other venues to allow the course to be a bit longer while not just repeating the same loop a few boring times. The driver will start in the upper left hand corner and drive into the loop and drive around it counter-clockwise and make a full lap. With that full lap done they will stay on the same course until the bypass where they will stay left which will put them onto the course headed in the opposite direction. They will follow the course backward until the exit straight that will take them out of the loop and through the lights. It's pretty simple once you mock-drive it at your desk while you should be working and making your company some money.

So take a look and let me know if you have any questions. Print this off if you can so when you walk the course early Saturday morning you have something to guide you and with luck you won't end up in Belgrade.

See you Saturday.

Looks good, I'm just hoping the 40mph winds decide to pass on this event.

Alas, I'm at Flathead lake for the week doing the family reunion/gathering and wont be back in time. I'm thinking of bringing it to Top Gun though!

Unfortunately I won't be there either... looks like a fun course though.
