I'd love to volunteer but I'm still a bit of a noob both here and to autocross in general. Still, for assisting with course design etc. or for learning to run the timing equipment I'm happy to offer up some time...

Unless the EC wants someone else or would to do it themselves I'd be down for doing the course design,

a course by Dave on a new venue...yeah!!!! I don't recognize the noob above in the thread, but you may perchance give him some course developement experience...we always need new talent ( and we know where mine is, no wait, where is it---nevermind, this isabout developing talent)...between the letters is the message " I love your courses Dave, and would love to drive what you create for the commoms)

The awards glasses will be ready early next week, I have my new 'measuring wheel' so I can go to the lot and measure it so I can design the course and everything is falling in line. Now it just need to stop snowing.

the first event is coming together...to that end, I have the cones, helmets, brooms, and some sheetrock pieces...they will all be there with me...what is the timing for the day--starting earlier to insure we are done before the next group?

had to run an errand in Bozo today, so checked out the Commons lot...nice big lot, new smooth tarmack, lots of room to pit-grid....nice wide and long gravel road for those of us who trailer to park out of the way on...congrats and thanks to whoever secured this new venue....I am sure it will be a winner...thats not to mentioned all the room to push the snow off the course...

It seems to me that I have seen a post about this, but don't remember where...who has all the registration stuff, and do we have enough copies of everything for the first event?

I have the stuff, and thank you for the reminder. I need to print a bunch of registration sheets with the updated helmet info. Need to get cash too.

Looks like I won't be able to make it. UofM is having their commencement that same day and I have to watch my sister walk for her paralegal degree. Hopefully I'll make the next one :(

with only 4 more wake ups...(you knew I would get that in there)...I checked for the gear I mentioned in some earlier post---and no sheet rock pieces...I must not have taken them with me after the last event...which means someone else has them...let me know if you have them, or suitable replacements....if not will see if there is any sheet rock work going on in Livingston where I can borrow some scraps....

I have held out volunteering due to my work schedule, but now I am pretty certain (?) I will make the first meet. I can take on the Tech inspection or the chief of workers.

Drat! I opened my big mouth too soon. As soon as I volunteered my work schedule changed. I will have to work all weekend now, the first time all year and right on opening race day. My boss apparently does not yet understand the importance of these race weekends. I was hoping to get in all the practice/experience time I could this year. I guess i just have to evaluate my priorities: work...race...work...
