Is it time to start counting wakeups yet?

Postby Mel Kuipers » Tue Apr 19, 2011 11:27 am

Judi and I have spend the last 7 weeks is So Ca and Az...camped at Leguna SECA raceway---for 8k we can have the track for a day...lets look at an out of town event there...next winter the Jeep stays home and the Miata comes here...in Az they grind up old tires for the asphalt and baby are these nice roads to drive...along with the desert road rollers to deal with downpours, I bet we can get some serious air with all 4 wheels...nice to see some activity on the web site, I have been missing you all along with the racing...can't wait for our first event, but given the weather we have watched but missed, I am not holding my breath....I think we may need to plan on the "rain or shine" policy of the Tucson club...torque those wheels--it won't be long now!!!!!

You will recognize Mel as the only one with a nice healthy tan among the rest of us pasty whiteys. I am just jealous. I hope the snow lets up before the first race. Put on a sweater Mel, it is a little cooler around these parts.

The 'not counting naps' made me laugh out loud. it's been a tough day I needed that.

See you soon.

It is definitely getting close now; just 7 wake-ups left. By this time next week we will be hearing the sounds of slapping pylon cones and smell hot tire rubber.
