yeah Russ! nice work! now I can start dreaming with dates in mind (don't tell Judi please, because the pun was intended)...as a show of appreciation, I offer you all the compressed air you need from my cute little red air tank...for the entire racing season....(bet you could also get an adult beaverage whenever you ask)

It is a conflict, but life is full of choices. The NHA Hillclimb in the Pioneer Mountains is Sept 10-11. Maybe without chip-seal gravel this year.

For those who do not know, check out http://www.yellowstonescca.com/ ...this calendar at the Billings club web site pretty much has all the events in the state listed...that way you know your options when our club does not have an event...as of today it is still tentative, but last year I kept a copy of it on the calendar at home with the events I wanted to run highlighted...

The quality of the pavement is far from good.......... too many jumps.

If the pavement quality was better it would be a fun site. if you look at it on google earth you will see grooves running the long way on the lot. It appears that they paved the lot and then after the fact added the big light poles and cut grooves in the pavement to run the wires from light to light. They then patched this groove with hot patch and left it be. So what you end up with is a groove you need to cross that can be deep and nasty. If one were to really work at it you could come up with a course that passes over these grooves in good spots and it would be serviceable. The issue may be that patch stuff in the grooves breaking up under solo traffic. We had one car damaged by the patch breaking up and kicking a softball sized piece up into the rocker panel of a 911 and breaking a piece off the rocker.

If you are interested in running there the best thing to do would be to make the trip and look at it in person to see what you think.

Helena would probably be the best location around here for a event like that. I don't know of any locations that would be more centrally located.
