Tim at AutoWerks is a TireRack dealer of some sort. I think he can offer a good price on anything the TireRack has.

For autocross I would recommend R-compound DOT tires, new, unless your too fast, then you should use old street tires.

Used race. John Burget sells used race tires in very good shape for around $65 each. Most tires will only have one autocross event on them and better then 90% tread left. The last DOT R Hoosiers I got still had the slight tread pattern still on them that will usually be worn off after the first event so they where practically new. I bought 4 tires for $260( 2 Hoosiers, 2 Goodyears) and he threw in 2 slightly flatspoted Hoosiers for free.

Give him a call at 1-252-740-0180.

He has very good customer service and will talk your ear off if you let him. He has been out of the tire size I need and very apolagetic about it. Still debateing if I am going to buy tires to finish the season with.

I've been running Bridgestone S-03 on my car and have been doing pretty well with them. I think I'll probably get about two years of life out of them with normal driving and auto-crossing. They have very good grip for a street tire. I haven't driven on a R-Compound tire yet so I really can't compair it to a Max performance street tire. Hoosier doesn't make any tires in my size :(

I usually get all my tires from Tire Rack.

I've gotten tires from him as well. Very good deal, considering how often the tires get used.
