Holy Cow - that is horrible MPG! Which engine was that on?

I saw your little yellow GTI at Applebees the otherday. Boy does that yellow stick out in a parking lot! Looks good :D

I saw several Porsche Cayenne's while I was down in Salt Lake City. Not too bad looking but didn't make me want to convert to a SUV owner. I think the Touaregs I saw were off to the side at Dick Walters - just arrived. They still had the white plastic protection on them. Also saw a silver WRX STI in...

Hospital expanding top parking lot!

Looks like the Hospital is expanding the parking lot we use! They are adding another row of parking on the west end of the lot. Hopefully they will get some of thier equipment out of the way. There was a dumpster parked in a rather bad spot.

Hmmm, Joe and a AWD vehicle. For some reason the name R32 is bouncing around my empty head. Could it be........

Hey now, we don't just let anyone into the "ATIGC" (awd turbo... club) now. Well, considering I managed to make it in, maybe the requirments are a bit lax :D

I have a sheet from AP Racing that has their recommended brake/bedding procedure. Basically you start of with small (60mph to 30 mph) repetitive brake usage (no complete stops from high speeds yet) to heat the entire brake disk up - watch it change colors! Basically then just get gradualy more aggre...

The brakes and the breather/oil seperator are getting installed Thursday. I hope the breather/oil sep kit shows up by then! The brakes are darn pretty. I need to look into a rear brake upgrade too to keep the brake balance or get a proportioning valve installed. I only have two days to get the brake...

The car is running really well since I had the autronic installed and tuned. I'm very happy! I don't have the idle control valve hooked up though so it's starts a bit rough but runs great after a minute or so. I may look into connecting the AUX port on the ECU to the idle control valve instead of th...

Ray, what are you using for your fuel control? Some kind of babyback ECU that oversides the stock one? I think you had told me that you were runnng RC Engineering 550 cc/min injectors. I think I will be needing to install some bigger injectors next year. Under boost and high rpms my poor little 382 ...

Thinking of changing out your BOV? I don't know enough about Subaru's BOV or Bypass valves yet. Basically it comes down to the internals of the valves and if it can handle the boost you are running. Is the stock one a spring/diaphram design? I would look into getting a stiffer spring and a diaphram ...

Ric, are you running 225/50 16's on your car? You may want to think about a trying a 45 or 40 series sidewall. Maybe a 235/45 16 or be a man and get some 17" wheels for summer and run a 235/40 17 or 225/45 17. That should give you a stiffer sidewall. Also maybe running a wider wheels may help out wi...

I've been running Bridgestone S-03 on my car and have been doing pretty well with them. I think I'll probably get about two years of life out of them with normal driving and auto-crossing. They have very good grip for a street tire. I haven't driven on a R-Compound tire yet so I really can't compair...

For the sake of competative spirit I'll refrain from getting R-Compounds :D

Well, to be honest I think you would want both. You are pushing around a heavy car around those cones though. You also have gobs of power and low end torque. I think you would want a engine with good low end torque to accelerate out of the corner. I tend top have a bit of trouble with turbo lag on m...

Unfortunatly, Hoosier doesn't make a tire in the size i need - 235/40 17.

I may look into some Toyo RA-1 since the Corrado is getting sold on Saturday. However, I think I'll be upgrading the brakes and breather system first.

Who said anything about a new Subaru 8)

Some winter racing sounds like a lot of fun too! You need to get that Jeep running Ray. That could be a decent rally-x machine.

I don't think I'd use the Cossie - I like to pamper it too much.

You can use the new fancy GTI for auto-x and use the older Rabbit for rallycross! I think we would need a couple of people to get some training in order to run a rally-x. Just checking to see if and how many people are interested in Rallycross? I know we have talked about it a little but it would be interesting too see how many people would actually do it.
