Re: Evo/AutoX Details

I believe Alex has the new range extenders, so one of us will have to go pick those up. Didn't Joe have the boxes? I thought he brought them to our meeting. I have the computer. As for the rest, no idea. Might be worth a trip to the van to see what's there. So, small issue with the antennas... I fi...

I'm not going to make it to this one, so someone will need to grab the laptop and radios before the event. Or I can drop them in the van if needed.

Also, it might not hurt to double check your helmet, especially if you haven't autocrossed in a while. The current Snell standard is 2015, and remember that valid helmets are the current and two previous standards, so that's 2015, 2010, and 2005.

What kind of power do you expect from the V6 compared to the four? So-far, great. I had a little trouble early on due to the car being a little hard starting, but I discovered a couple of weeks ago that the reason for that was mostly due to my starter. I had swapped to a starter from a newer Toyota V6, but for some reason it didn't crank my motor as fast and was a ...

I would be very surprised if it needed firmware work. ECU's don't fail all that often, and when they do, something electrical goes wrong and you fix it with a soldering iron, not by flashing the firmware. I'm with Russ, sounds like a sensor issue. Throttle position, or maybe there is a switch on the...

Re: Body Language - plastics, fiberglass, resins...

Don't be confused by their marketing, "Duraflex" is just a fancy name for fiberglass. Now, *maybe* it has more flexible resins than some, but in the end, it's fiberglass. That said, fiberglass, if sufficiently thick / high quality, has the stiffness/ rigidity to hit some cones and live to ...

TRD seems questionable to me. If you can't buy it from a show room as a *factory* option (port installed / dealer installed doesn't count), then it probably isn't legal. Plus, as you mentioned, the "performance catalog" is specifically excluded by rule 14.2,F,2. However, I think you are to...

The problem with vests in my mind is this:
The most likely way for a course worker to get hit is by an out of control car. In which case, visibility is a non-issue. To me, it's a feel-good measure that doesn't actually make anyone safer.

Hard to say, since we don't know how many people we are feeding. However, Victoria has offered to run to Costco for more should we run low. We are quite close.

Is 20 people a reasonable guess for starters? 3-4 people per pizza? So maybe start with 5 or 6 and go from there?
