Re: Big Events

July 11 - 13 Norpac Divisional - Helena. I hope more locals attend this year. It's a very cool event and a chance to see national class folks from outside our area run. Humbling and exciting at the same time and not to be missed. Dave How is this event usually set up? Higher speed? More technical? ...

Re: Alignment and Tire Mounting

I did a little calling around today for pricing on Alignment and mounting new tires and the least expensive place was Eagle Tire at $40 for front alignment and $44 to mount all four new tires onto my rims. Does anyone have a suggestion of a better place to go for alignment and tire mounting. Is the...

you don't throw in a lane change on a very narrow part of the track when cars are going that fast. A safer bet would have been to leave that gate out alltogether. I may be wrong (I was not there and did not see the course or talk to anyone who did), but maybe they put that there so people would slo...

Re: Car Scales?

I am just wondering if any one in or around helena knows of some one with a set of scales. my front sway bar seems to be preloaded fairly badly. front driver side break locks way before the rest. I am thinking its preload because it also pulls to one side when going down the road. going to play wit...

Does anyone here have a fender rolling tool and heat gun? I am considering buying 15x9" wheels and this will help w/ fit. If I cannot find one to use/rent I may just get 15x8's which do not require rolling the fenders. I am looking for something similar to this-> http://tom.actionfit.com/fender...

I have had real good luck with hankook w404. And they are dirt cheap. I've put these on my wifes car, and the srt-4. The only problem I have is they are not speed rated, and get a bit "floaty" at speeds above 85. As for size, I ran a 225/45 17 on the srt-4, and it seemed to work well. I beleive the...

I'm not sure if any of you might be interested in this or not. I would beg to differ, last weekend I was nearly sideways in "normal" traffic due to a very very shallow puddle in the lanes (<1/4 inch), and they are NEW. It's about 96 miles away. We may take the longer route through Boulder (+20 miles) due to the road construction. You should get rides with a few different people who have autocross experience. Learn how they enter and exit the corner, how they make throttle and steering inputs, and how they memorize the course.
