Re: A little history -

I just now saw this post, but it's a fun trip down memory lane. I never drove at the hospital, but I remember how tight things were at the high school. (A friend of mine curbed it pretty hard there in his e36.) I made events with just enough regularity to have a few people know who I was (Norm, Mart...

16" 4 x 100mm wheels for sale

It's spring cleaning in the fall time! I have a set of 4 16" Voxx MGR wheels for sale. They were on my e30 BMW (which I no longer own), so I also have the correct spacers to fit that car, and a full set of lug bolts. Not nuts. (Those Germans...) The bolt pattern is 4 x 100mm, so these may work ...

Hello, Cone Crushers! I'm looking to replace the OEM bumper cover on my STi. It's suffered enough over the past several years, and I'd like to find something that doesn't have separate air dams on the corners or fog light covers to get messed up when I smack a cone (or twenty). I've been looking at ...

Joe, I'm assuming by "silicon" they must be talking about silicon dioxide, a.k.a. silica, which is the primary ingredient in sand. That can't be a good thing when choosing what to slurp into the engine intake. Dave, that must have been kind of like looking into your soul (but perhaps sligh...

Re: Car Improvement Season Continued...

The T WRX spent some time at Autoworks and the results are in: First the turbo seal was checked to confirm no leaks. Since the car idles smoothly and runs well (no missing) it was assumed that compression must not be suffering too badly. It even feels strong under acceleration and doesn't hiccup. So...

Sooooooooo...... now we know where all of that missing oil is going. Recent compression tests suggest a strong need for (gulp) an engine rebuild. I see that SCCA is creating a new class - CAM - Classic American Muscle. I'd go for a shirt if it has long sleeves for solar protection. Bonus if it could be made in that non-descript schmutzy grey-brown blotchy color that a day of autocross usually seems to turn all of my shirts into anyway. Perhaps one of us could handle artwork. I like the intent of bringing in more new participants, (I've always loved the "drive what you've got" aspect of autocross) but I can also see some potential for blurring of the distinction between the Street Touring classes and the proposed Street class.
